Pub Poetry – May ’10

I attended the May Pub Poetry evening at the Canalhouse pub on 10th May, and amongst other things read out some of my own poems. I was also one of the 5 winners of the limerick competition, which focused on the post-election political news of the time, and won a Twix for my troubles.

There was a young man named Clegg
Who was generally thought a good egg
But he went too far
When he gave up PR
For the pleasure of seeing Cameron beg
